When students access IXL through Schoology, they can use it for free over the summer.
Please encourage rising 6th and 7th graders to prepare for the next school year by practicing math using IXL this summer, aiming to reach proficiency (SmartScore of 80) on 20 skills before school starts in the fall. All students at your school who reach proficiency on at least 5 IXL math skills over the summer will receive a certificate and large candy as a reward when they come back to school in the fall. If at least 50% of the students from a 6th or 7th grade math class reach proficiency on at least 10 IXL math skills, all the students from that class will be invited to a treat party in the fall. If at least 50% of the students from a 6th or 7th grade math class reach proficiency on at least 20 skills, all the students from that class will also receive a voucher for a movie ticket.
